Hemendra Thakkar

Hemendra Thakkar is the dean of real estate brokerage instructors. He  provides tax planning consultive services to REALTORS® and other professionals.  He is a licensed Real Estate Instructor with Florida REALTORS® and serves on the GRI faculty in addition to the TRANS-EQUITY, Inc. faculty as a senior instructor. He is certified by the National Association of REALTORS® and HUD to teach At Home With Diversity.

Hemendra created his real estate brokerage, accounting and tax planning firm in Orlando in 1980. Active in educating the REALTOR™ members he remains a leader and mentor in the industry. Providing his vision to Florida REALTORS® he was selected to chair the Professional Development Committee twice. He also chaired the REALTOR® / Attorney Joint Committee. He also served leadership roles for Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association and Osceola County Association of REALTORS®.  He was also president of the Seminole County Board of REALTORS®.

Hemendra is a past District Vice President (District 12) and remains an active member of numerous committees. He holds the CRB, GRI, AHWD, ePro™ and Certified Exchange Advisor designations and has an active practice as a 1031 exchange Qualified Intermediary.   He is a past president of the Florida Chapter of Certified Residential Brokerage Managers (CRB). His multi-discipline practice is evidenced by his past membership of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) North Florida District Directors advisory board and of the 12-member SEEC panel of the IRS in Washington, D.C.  He is a past National Director of the National Association of Tax Professionals.

Hemendra’s insight is sought by leaders throughout Florida and the United States. Proficient in six languages his communication skills are creative and his fusion of thought processes encourages him to provide vision rarely shared with others. His sense of humor and active involvement with attendees makes Hemendra one of the most sought after speakers in Florida.
