This course is designed for three hours of heads-up training for the BOD, officers and committee chairs. It’s a heads-up presentation which puts the emphasis on serving member needs. We look at advanced communication skills including neuro-linguistics. The spoken word is only 7% of any message. Can you tune into the other 93% and use it to influence the outcome of a negotiation? The answer is clearly yes.
Body language screams – but can you hear it? Board leadership is taught to read the body language of other members of the team, and the membership, and to carefully chose words, to recognize logical fallacies, and make a decision based on sound thought processes and clear logic.
We have to work together for the benefit of the membership and this course helps with that process. Let’s all use a level playing field. Whether board president or committee chair, effective and intuitive communication skills are a necessity.
